Changing Lights
The shadows rise as dusk falls to night
And in the fields the cornhusks grow
Never wavering in the fading light
The mountains raising high off the ground
Know secrets left untold
The trees that bask in the glory of the day
Become jumbled like the dreams I have yet to tell
When time goes by unnoticed do the memories that make us keep?
Our notions are grand and our intentions pure as the untouched lands
My heart remains clasped by hands I have not yet known
But it's in this discovery that we will become known friends
I travel these vast lands to places unknown
And it's with in these landscapes I become my own
And in the fields the cornhusks grow
Never wavering in the fading light
The mountains raising high off the ground
Know secrets left untold
The trees that bask in the glory of the day
Become jumbled like the dreams I have yet to tell
When time goes by unnoticed do the memories that make us keep?
Our notions are grand and our intentions pure as the untouched lands
My heart remains clasped by hands I have not yet known
But it's in this discovery that we will become known friends
I travel these vast lands to places unknown
And it's with in these landscapes I become my own
